Rebecca Sands
Senior Regional Manager

Ms. Sands has over 22 years of experience in the Multifamily Property Management industry.  Prior to joining Madrona Ridge Residential, Rebecca spent 7 years as Vice President with Affinity Property Management in Oregon and SW Washington where she successfully led numerous properties through stabilization, lease-up, rehab and acquisition. Prior to Affinity, Rebecca was the General Sales Manager with For Rent Media Solutions. She began her apartment industry career in 1993 with the CTL property management group as well as Trammell Crow Residential Services.

Mary Marin
Senior Regional Manager

Ms. Marin has over 25 years of experience in the Multifamily Property Management Industry.  Prior to joining Madrona Ridge Residential,  Ms. Marin held the position of Senior Property Manager and Regional Director, at Gray Development Group, where, over the past 10 years,  she oversaw the startup and property operations of a portfolio of up to  2000 units, including A+ lease up communities, as well as A, B and C stabilized communities.  Ms. Marin has also served as a Senior Property Manager with Mark Taylor Residential and The YF Group.  Ms. Marin currently maintains her Real Estate License in the State of Arizona.

Linda Kirkwood
Senior Regional Manager

Ms. Kirkwood has over 25 years of experience in the multifamily and commercial property management industry, and has worked in various markets throughout the United States. Prior to joining Madrona Ridge Residential, Ms. Kirkwood worked with successful development and management firms including Archon, Simpson, Greystar, Maxx and Echelon. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Texas at Austin and holds the designation of Certified Property Manager.

Tarna Sadler
Senior Regional Manager

Tarna Sadler comes to the Madrona Ridge Residential team with over 16 years of experience in the Multi-Family management industry. Her award winning experience in marketing, affordable regulations, training and development led her to a role as a corporate leader in 2007. As Vice President of Operations, Tarna Sadler was responsible for leading Anton’s Residential Management group, where she oversaw the operations of the Company’s owned assets throughout the State of California, and the coordination all of the operational processes and education. Tarna served as the Vice President of Affordable Housing Services for Riverstone Residential Group where she was an instrumental leader of 12,000 affordable units throughout the nation. Tarna is a licensed California Real Estate salesperson and maintains the Housing Credit Certified Professional Accreditation (HCCP), the Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), and Blended Occupancy Specialist (BOS).

Alisa Kelley
Regional Manager

Ms. Kelley possesses over ten years of accounting experience and specialized in accounts payable at Madrona Ridge Residential before making a move into operations. She has four years of prior work in the multifamily property management industry at both Greystar, where she worked as a Community Manager overseeing four properties in the greater Seattle area, and at Glacier Real Estate Services, where she served as Junior Accountant/Accounts Payable Lead. Previously, Ms. Kelley also worked in accounting at Aramark, where she was the Assistant Controller at Qwest Field.

Jolene Brinkly
Regional Manager

Jolene Brinkly possesses over ten years of experience in the multi-family industry.  She previously worked for Crown Management Group as a Property Administrator and Riverstone Residential Group as a Senior Property Manager specializing in the Greater Seattle area; since joining Madrona Ridge in 2011 she has expanded her territory  to include Southern California and Las Vegas.  Ms. Brinkly has extensive experience in transitioning management and  facilitating property renovation projects while maintaining an exceptional living experience for the residents.  Additional areas of expertise include HOA management, forecasting, accounting and associate development.

Lauree Scheiber
Regional Manager

Ms. Scheiber has 20 years of experience in the Multi-Family Industry.  Prior to joining Madrona Ridge Residential, Lauree spent four years as a Regional Portfolio Manager for ConAm Management in the Seattle and Olympia markets, overseeing a diverse portfolio including historical, garden-style,  and mid-rise communities, as well as two successful mixed-use urban lease ups.  Prior to ConAm, Lauree gained extensive experience in the property management industry from Legacy Partners, from Simpson Property Group where she was Regional Marketing Director, and from regional management positions with other well-regarded property management firms including Whiteco and Greystar. Lauree studied music at Western State College and Communications at Colorado State University. She currently holds an active Washington State Broker’s License and is a CPM Candidate with IREM.

Amy Williams
Regional Development Manager

Ms. Williams is a Real Estate professional who is responsible for driving the operations and financial performance of our Seattle and Portland area lease ups. Ms. Williams comes to Madrona with over 19 years of experience in multifamily and condominium property management and brokerage. She has extensive knowledge of the Seattle and Portland markets and is experienced in supervising many lease ups, property renovations, dispositions, and receiverships.Most recently, Ms. Williams was a Regional Portfolio Manager with Greystar where she had worked in 2015. Prior to that, she was a Senior Investment Manager and Principal Broker with Pinnacle where she led a large team responsible for a new development roll out in Seattle, condo conversions in Portland and Bend, as well as business plan and sales strategy development consulting. At Pinnacle, Ms. Williams specialized in urban mid-rise and high-rise lease ups. From 1999-2009, Ms. Williams worked as a broker for Hoyt Realty Group in Portland specializing in the Pearl District. During that tenure, she was honored with the Top Broker- Portland award. Ms. Williams started her career with Trammel Crow Residential. Ms. Williams is a licensed Principal Real Estate Broker in both Washington and Oregon.

Annamarie Calkins

Ms. Calkins has over 9 years of experience in the accounting industry. Prior to joining Madrona Ridge, she was the Accounting Manager for Security Properties where she managed the corporate and property management accounting for the conventional portfolio. She brings a wealth of real estate accounting industry knowledge and experience, and has successfully led multiple system and software implementations. Ms. Calkins has also worked as an audit associate for McGladrey LLP, where her clients were primarily in real estate. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Washington and is currently working towards earning her CPA license.

Lisa Bainter
Director, Training and Marketing

Ms. Bainter has 18 years of administrative, sales and marketing experience, including 13 years in the property management industry. Most recently, she worked as a Sales & Marketing Project Manager with the Lexas Companies. Previously, she spent nearly ten years with Trammell Crow Residential in several roles, including Sales & Marketing Project Manager, National Alliance Manager and Director of Resident Services. Ms. Bainter maintains a Washington State Real Estate Broker License.

Ron Hankinson
Director, Facilities and Maintenance Operations

Mr. Hankinson has over 20 years of experience in the local Seattle area multi-family housing market.  In previous positions, Ron oversaw construction projects, large crews, contractors, site maintenance staffing and associated responsibilities.  Mr. Hankinson has experience as a local independent contractor and a NACHI (National Association of Certified Home Inspectors) member in good standing since 2007. This experience has made him a valuable associate to our due diligence/ asset acquisition process. Repair experience and knowledge of full scale rehabs and exterior envelope repair allows Ron to make credible recommendations for repair.

Rima Edmonds
National Director of Compliance

Ms. Edmonds is the National Director of Compliance in charge of all compliance matters for Madrona Ridge Residential and Security Properties. She also works as an Asset Manager for Security Properties, responsible for the management companies, compliance files and operations for its portfolio of affordable properties. Ms. Edmonds has worked with state housing finance agencies and HUD offices throughout the country, and has a thorough knowledge of Section 42 and the tenant certification process. Ms. Edmonds maintains a Washington State Real Estate Sales License, CPM and CAM Designation and has her COS “Certified Occupancy Specialist”, and holds C3P certification from Spectrum and she is also REAC and MOR certified.

David Dufenhorst
SP Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Dufenhorst has 25 years of experience in real estate including asset management, acquisitions, dispositions, development, joint ventures, financing, tax planning and accounting. Prior to joining Security Properties, he was the Managing Partner and President of the Torino Companies. During his 13 years at Torino he completed over $1.0 billion in transactions in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. He has also worked for an investment bank, a publicly traded real estate developer and a Big 4 accounting firm. He holds a Bachelor's in Accounting from the University of Idaho and a Master's of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California. Mr. Dufenhorst is a licensed real estate broker, a licensed CPA, and a member of the ULI and National Multi-Housing Council.

Bob Krokower
SP Chief Financial Officer

Bob Krokower has over 30 years of experience in real estate finance, administration and accounting. He’s served as CFO of Security Properties for seven years. Mr. Krokower’s previous positions include CFO of Harbor Properties, Inc., and Harbor Mountain L.L.C, and Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration of the Donald L. Bren Company. He also owned a consulting firm that specialized in delivering financial and administrative support to real estate development and operations companies. Mr. Krokower holds an accounting degree from California State University.
